Welcome to my Far Cry 5 Free Roam series where we will be taking a look at everything this game has to offer without diving into the main missions. We look at outposts, hunting, missions and everything else that Far Cry 5 has to offer! Also taking a look at all the weapons, vehicles and shops that provide a level of customization that has not been available in Far Cry before including character, cars and wepaon customization. I currently play Far Cry 5 on PS4 Pro.
Far Cry 5 is an action-adventure first-person shooter video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the eleventh installment and the fifth main title in the Far Cry series.
The game is set in the fictional Hope County, Montana, where a preacher named Joseph Seed has risen to prominence. Seed believes that he has been chosen to protect the people of Hope County from an "inevitable collapse" and has established a congregation called Eden's Gate. Ostensibly, this is to fulfill his mission of leading the people to salvation; in reality, Seed is a radical preacher and Eden's Gate is a militaristic doomsday cult. Under his rule, Eden's Gate has used both coercion and violence to forcibly convert the residents of Hope County, and intimidation to keep them from contacting the outside world for help. When an attempt to arrest Seed ends with the deaths of several lawmen, the player is swept into the armed conflict between Eden's Gate and the remaining Hope County residents, who are organizing themselves into a resistance movement.

Kills aren't registering on the new live event PS4, it is a known issue they are working on. From the forum:
we are aware that there is currently an issue on the Live Event Roadkill, for wich the progress is not counted.
Our team is investigating and we will update you as soon as we have more information.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience.
The Far Cry Community Team
It don’t but you’re still progressing.
I hope you got the ATV and the clothing before the event ended.
Now today’s event is blowing up Peggie’s pickup trucks and you will get an exclusive car as a reward. And when the community blows up a total of a million peggie trucks, you get this undercover cultist outfit which used to be in the game in day one
They really need to hurry with the game plus mode, after i beat the game it became instantly boring. This was the best game i played in a while though, its shocking that ubisoft can make a game with good performance and smooth gameplay.
You have a point there cause well you don't kill the farther so there should still be followers around he told us to leave not them so its like the last far cry and kinda same as crack down one and two so ya not fun cause I like throwing shovels at their face
The real issue with far cry 5 is the 100 foot spawn radius. The fact that cars, bodies and weapons de spawn as soon as you turn around. And that the streets are barren even before you beat the region bosses. I kept hearing about how it is insanity going on at all times but i find that i am 100% in control of the situation at all times because there isnt a whole heck of alot going on at any given moment. And im playing on hard. What far cry needs is a wanted system like gta or just cause.
I don't know why everyone is asking for a new game + feature. I have finished the game and I am enjoying that there are not much enemies around anymore so I can just clear up the rest of the side missions that I missed in peace. I don't really see the point of playing the same story again once it's completed.
The best way to not complete this game and keep your gears /weapons and walking around killing peggeies is to level up resistance points in all 3 regions but do not kill John Seed nor Jousiph!, also do not carry on with all misson stories as possible as you can
The solution is........finish the game the first time for the play experience and then start a new game.
In your new game never..........never finish any region. Just never do the last few missions in each region and leave it alone.
Now you can run about everywhere .........personally I leave one cultist alive in every outpost to begin with in my new game........now if I fast travel back the whole thing is reset . Fast travel somewhere close.......you cannot fast travel to the outpost unless you clear it.....DO NOT DO THAT!!
Yep never finish anything and enjoy the outposts just leave one cultist alive and they will automatically reset when you fast travel somewhere and you can come back over and over etc, etc.
So now you can enjoy the populated world at your leisure......you still have loot from bodies and lots of ammo and money if you want to go buy a particular weapon and try it out.
Sad you have nothing better to do with your life other than rot in front of your screen. You seem fine but soon your body will start to react. There will be no game to help you then. Put down the game and live in the real world.
yeah this was my one major gripe about fc5. The more and more powerful you get, the less and less enemies there are for you to express that power, until finally you have all the perks, all the upgraded guns....and literally zero people to fight except for outpost master....which is OK but my GOD 90% of the fun I had in this game was created from the chaos of random baddies popping up while I was trying to do something else.
This game was waaaay too easy and fast to beat. They need to slow down the progression. The resistance meter and forced events are the problem. Build resistance by stealing vehicles, towing supply trailers, and recruiting people. And they should have recurring spontaneous assaults on your allies that happen for you to put down.
far cry 5 is a game that took a step forward and took a two step back in terms of enemy placement, for goodness gracious, before completely eliminating enemy+outpost, i felt like the devs just sat infront of the computer and just spawn every enemy , on every plot of land available. the peggies are literally everywhere, i was strolling around in the middle of nowhere at the fringe of the world map, no animal, no npc, but what do you know, theres a random peggy in the middle of nowhere. it doesnt made any sense. far cry 3 and 4 have believeable npc and enemy placement. like their position of operation made actual sense.
I hope this will be patched, but I see what they were going for. When you liberate a region, makes sense there will be less cult shit happening in that area, but it just makes the post game boring and doesn't make sense from a continuity perspective, given the ending.
I completed the game and the side quest at the same time so after completion there was nothing to do except some random stuff no fight with any cultis roaming around like u said so i uninstall the game cos it became very boring, cos its not like gta where u can shoot normal npc and get thrill of police chase on ur expensive car.
That's why I only play far cry to get the live event stuff
But dang man far cry gets so boring when you beat the game so I restarted the game like 3 times
Now I play the game on hard it's a bit more fun and challenging
Thats the only problem with Far Cry 5, its farrrrr too easy. I put off completing it for aaaages (Ie going to the final boss) and it still didnt last very long. Had to re start it just to extend the longevity. Great game but i think Far Cry 4 is probably still better just for the fact it lasts alot longer etc. Ive still not completed that one so gotta head over to Kyrat i guess.....
Fra Cry 5 has taken everything I did not like about the previous games and put them on steroids and watered down the things I love about the franchise.
It starts with a cut scene that seems like a two hour long bad movie. If you start a new game you don’t have the option to skip this same cut scene. My question is why leave out the option to skip all cut scenes?
I want to shot things. I want to outwit the enemy, not listen to him preach or watch a mini movie!
I really really like choices. That is why my favorite games are open world games. Let me play the game the way I enjoy it the most.
Capture teams…Jaaacob! I was so sick of being transferred to the St. Francis Hotel, for the same race to escape; I screamed four letter words of frustration! It wasn’t even logical. If they can capture me anywhere, anytime, even while flying a damn helicopter, then why didn’t they just kill me? If you like that kind of shit, make it like the Clutch Nixon mini game. Make it a choice.
Then there are the obligatory hallucinogenic episodes that come with entire franchise; slow walking me through seemingly meaningless cut scenes over and over again. This is the worst Far Cry in this respect yet. You could not travel in Faith’s territory without the dizzying camera effects and visions of Faith interrupting you constantly. Do other players enjoy this aspect of the franchise? I’m curious how many gamers enjoy this and how many do not.
Finally we come to Joseph and the unsatisfying ending no matter which ending you chose. It’s just disappointing. Overall it was not nearly as good as the last three games.
Yeah I feel pretty similar. Having finished the game it's a bit empty and not eager to replay it, which is a first as I still replays all the previous eps... can't you skip the cut scenes by holding down the b button...?
I just beat the game twice..so I was HOPING someone would say something about the BARREN world after you finish all sections.
But I did figure something out during my 2nd playthrough(not rocket scientist,lol)......DO NOT DO THE OUTPOSTS/DO NOT DO THE MAIN GAME/PUT THE GAME ON HARD
and it seems to be freaking enemies everywhere all day.(total chaos)
You shoot at one guy and ten guys show up out of THIN AIR...its grandiose!!!
There is NO sneaking anywhere because the planes pick you up on radar as soon as you appear in the game.
I don't mind. I got bothered by it but I kept the HUD all the way off, hunt animals, and I stumble across either one cult member on his own sometimes, or a squad. It's rare but it's satisfying it's pure eye candy
I feel in far cry 4 the hardest and most fun thing to do was to take down the outposts they were rated in difficulty so you had to build up your skills and armoury before you could advance were in 5 you had these stupid boss fights and the outposts were relatively easy big disappointment there and no buzz saw!
I understand why no cultists remain once completing a region to advance the story, but if the hope country you play in after completing the story line is already not true to the story, why not add more cultists for additional difficulty? It is really the only other activity to do besides some out of place side quests and prepper stashes that have lost their appeal.
They were not satisfied with giving the buyer the middle finger at the end of the game - They had to carry it forward when one reenters the games. There is a word for this - It is being an A-HOLE. They made millions and then said screw the buyer.
“I feel like every far cry you’ve been able to do that” such a fucking joke have you ever actually played another far cry? The games literally “end” when you free the regions and kill the main character.
After the events of the main game you need to remember. Far Cry 5 takes place in the United States of America, where we have laws, a military, police, and prisons, so logically after the game people would have been able to call the national guard and then order w ok old be fully restored, thus no more cult members because the would have either been killed resisting or arrested for, murder, kidnapping, attempted murder, among other things so yeah. Of course their would be no more cult because they are all dead, in prison, or were able to merge back with society.
I need help... alright so I was playing fc arcade, while having two profiles signed in... I lag out of a game and it copied the profile that was rank one, meanwhile I was rank 38 took me to zero.. lost all my cash and it took away my skills that I’ve already purchased... nooooow I can’t do takedowns, or pick up dead bodies, I can’t even sprint and press the crouch button to do a slide.. the bastard just crouches.......!!! My guy works perfectly in arcade mode tho... if this happened to you and you can help.... please....
There are still cultists out there after you complete the game, some guard truck trailers, some can be found out in the woods hunting and you can even find them returning to the larger sites you've cleared them from that aren't outposts.
Far Cry comes to America in the latest installment of the award-winning franchise.
Welcome to Hope County, Montana, land of the free and the brave but also home to a fanatical doomsday cult known as Eden’s Gate. Stand up to cult leader Joseph Seed, and his siblings, the Heralds, to spark the fires of resistance and liberate the besieged community.
