Hate to be that guy but will it run with gt 1030 only for experiences or low graphics gaming plus some content watching.

dsaf dsaf (13 days ago)
Watch gamerpoop's video on VR. He did it with GT 1030. Just mod the configuration files to make the game really low res for it to work well with a GT 1030.

do you think a r9 380 would do well
Reuben McKay (22 days ago)
I have a I 5 6402P and gtx 1050ti . Works amazingly on games like super hot vr
XboxIsAHobbieForHobo (25 days ago)
I got the gtx1070 wayyyyy back when it first came out, i actually preordered it so the over inflation hadn’t really set in yet. With that graphics card how cpu heavy is vr, what kinda cpu chip do you need?

Can you test to see if vr games work on geforce now??? [that is a cloud gaming service]

Mamdouh Tawadros (1 month ago)
Thank you for the effort. I found you have a 6 minute video, 3 minutes you have been repeating yourself about what you want. Then you have mentioned 1050, not even tried 970? what is your point? 1050 for $100?
Knight 11692 (1 month ago)
Those basic specs are wrong the minimum requirements was never a GTX 1060 or a RX 480 I'm not sure who printed up that information. When they first made the announcement and still today the basic requirements were an Nvidia GTX 970 or an AMD 290 GPU and an Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater CPU for the optimal experience. They later made an announcement that you can use an NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti / AMD Radeon RX 470 or greater for minimum requirements. Another alternative that was made NVIDIA GTX 960 4GB / AMD Radeon R9 290 or greater.
Knight 11692 (12 days ago)
That is correct.
dsaf dsaf (13 days ago)
The minimum's also include 1050 4gb GPU and above as minimum requirements.

There is an program called VRidge from RiftCat, there is what you need to do: 1. Download the program on your PC and phone, obviously. 2. Just connect your phone to your PC. 3. Put your phone in an mobile VR headset. 4. Open an VR game thingy 5. The RiftCat program will stream the game to the phone, and your phone will show what happening on the computer screen. 6. Dem 2 screens thing will work with an mobile VR headset :V (P.S: And if your phone doesent have an gyroscope, there is an program called FreeTrack, which RiftCat fully supports, and it will simulate the gyroscope.) (P.S.S: There are some chipsets that dont support VRidge, be careful.)

i dont understand the cpu, gpu, etc. stuff i just wanna know is an AMD Radeon HD 7560D / or 7560 Series, good enough graphic for vr? and is a AMD A8-5500 with radeon HD graphics a good processor for playing VR? if both is good enough i may buy vr

40fps in vr.. not good at all.. it should be 90fps stable and its even better if u can use AA or "pixel density"
what happened at 5:32 :P
Depault (2 months ago)
why did you always say "optimal" with quotes? Do you intend to say that the 1060 is not a good gpu for vr?

Takezo San (3 months ago)
ps3 and Xbox 360 had a 24 FPS lock on lots of games 45 per eye is more than fine, this constant 90FPs for that 1% that gets motion sickness, those same people are vegetarians i bet.

Monasha Vrchat (3 months ago)
but, is it good for vrchat?
Pussy Destroyer (3 months ago)
Nothing is good for vrchat. I have an rx580 and even that can't handle having more than 6 people. Even with graphics settings on low it barely chugs along on some servers.

What ABOUT MY ATI Rage Fury MAXX AGP on my Pentium 2 400Mhz. I guess I would need a VGA to HDMI adapter.
Can I run anything game in goggles VR with my GTX 1050ti 4GB + Intel Core i5 7thGen????
Richleth (3 months ago)
No; you need a good cpu and cooler for the games; people can get away with a 700+ nvidia card, I can only play on low settings to medium in orbusvr (Not very graphically demanding) at 90 fps where I can get away with high graphics for a game like lone echo; orbusvr as an mmo in the raids has to calculate and show so many things about what everyone is doing when lone echo is a solo experience.

Maybe for flight sims like DCS World or racing sims, you would require a higher video card, but for lower spec games the 1050ti or 1060 should be fine and as long as you meet the other specs. Download the Oculus compatibility tool to find out. My PC is 7 years old, 2nd Gen i7 with a GTX1060 6GB; 16GB ram. I play Elite Dangerous, Super Hot, Beat Saber, I run Project Cars, Robo Recall, Gorn, VR Chat, Echo Arena, and other stuff, all run perfect, no lag. Heck most of the time I have a bunch of other stuff open on my machine as well as playing my games and they still run fine. Probably a good idea to check the specs of the games you prefer to play first. I mean why buy a 1080 if the games you play don't require it. Not everyone is into flight or racing sims, which are normally more graphic intensive. You can always upgrade in the future, if and when you need to.
Burning Star (4 months ago)
to enjoy you need to have gtx 1080ti lower you will be disappointed!i have 980 and im suffering in Project cars 2!racing sims you will vomit if it will lag same with dcs world!
TheGamerCyclops (4 months ago)
30 FPS in VR is a lot different than 30 FPS on a monitor. You must have been high when you were playing, because that would be extremely nauseating. You need 90 FPS for a smooth experience, that’s why the VR headsets have a 90hz refresh rate.
Bywater (4 months ago)
was this 1050 or 1050ti?

Sean Pierre (4 months ago)
hi is playing with a GTX 1050 2GB in VR possible for example. for racing simulation? The remaining system requirements are fulfilled, it is only about the graphics card. Thank you
Alaina Grayhawk (4 months ago)
So if I have a Ryzen 3 1200 and a 1050ti and 8gb of ram, how good would it preform on vr games like job simulator, super hot vr, and virtual rickality.
Alaina Grayhawk (4 months ago)
Scrottobaggns ok thanks.
Scrottobaggns (4 months ago)
Sounds like you meet the specs. It should run fine. Go google and download, "Oculus compatibility check tool" to find out for sure. My PC is 7 years old, like 2nd Gen i7 with a GTX1060 16GB ram. I play Elite Dangerous, Super Hot, Beat Saber, I run Project Cars, Robo Recall, Gorn, VR Chat, and other stuff, all run perfect, no lag.
orgy57 (4 months ago)
Tbh it's probably more worth it to just get an old 390 secondhand. They've dropped down in price pretty recently and it performs a bit better than a 480, just sucks up more power. It may cost more but compared to these benchmarks those extra hundred bucks for a better gpu really seem to be worth it

250 dollars is actually the msrp for the rx480.... with the mining shit happening they where like 500-600 euros here in germany, now they are at like 200-220
TheSpookyBoi (4 months ago)
Do you think a GTX 970M 3GB with 16GB of ram and an intel i7-5700HQ is enough for VR? It's a laptop yes.
Scrottobaggns (4 months ago)
The processor sounds like it would be okay, but you should run the Oculus compatibility tool to find out for sure about the video card.

Decadence Music I haven’t ran Skyrim, but I own, and play regularly, onward, super hot, from other suns(open world space game) and even pay day 2 on high. You honestly don’t need a crazy card to play VR yet. Maybe in the future for insane graphics and huge maps, but graphics can be tweaked to still be playable and still look rather stunning.
Lvl99 Weebtrash (4 months ago)
Cool! If this old 1050 can run VR at playable, then my 1050 To I'm getting at nearly 2x as good, that's gonna be amazing!

2:30 did you just messed up ur editing ? looks like u made ur video really small for a few seconds..
xIntoxicity (4 months ago)
You can use the oculus debugging tool in the oculus program files to increase the resolution.
TheTurnipKing (4 months ago)
Actually it varies. Some VR headsets use two images on a single screen. But the problem with "budget" VR is that unstable low framerates are a gateway to motion sickness for most which is why there's no basically no such thing as a machine too powerful for VR. You are always going to want to compromise on the side of a high and stable frame-rate In theory, of course, you can get those on a lesser card by dialing back the details, but it'll depend heavily on your personal tolerance for vr sickness. People who already get sick at first person shooters on a normal PC probably aren't going to be able to cheap out.

You should be benchmarking Gal Gun VR 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Salvation73 (7 months ago)
The reason you need a beefy graphics card is so you can maintain high fps in game so you don't puke all over yourself. Low frames = motion sickness increase. The better your system the better you'll feel while playing. I wouldn't be skimping on the GPU just because you can and having people believe that could end up costing them a crap ton of money wasted on a VR headset that they can't use with what they have OR they have to then go and spend money upgrading. It's not whether or not you could, it's whether or not you should. No, you shouldn't.
