Such a great game in so many ways, one very small criticism I have is there is no car or plane that is super fast to drive around in they all feel a bit slow, although I love the driving and flying physics. Oh also, The AI can be pretty easy even on hardest difficulty or theres not enough enemys. Still, it's so much fun, hope we don't have to wait another 4 years for the next one ;)
so what are these so called "secrets" lol, the video was put together well but just like FC5's story line you didnt piece it together, video should have been named How Far Cry 5's Open World Is Awesome
!for one shot kills!
l like the 45/70 with a silencer
you can cheat by putting a reflex scope on it and just run around one shot killing peoplewithout needing to aim if you have aim assist on you just tap L2 then shoot and repeat it gets boring cos its so easy eventually so i had to go back to my optical scope
its deffo my fav rifle upto now though thaught its worth a shout out!
I hate the ground hog day story missions. Im Moose hunting in a free world one minute and then Im kidnapped and stuck in a stupid mission trying to kill zombies in a cult base trying to rescue someone I dont know. Of course I die, start over and die, start over, repeat, repeat, repeat. I dont buy open world games to experience this. My other beef is that when I liberate an outpost? I lose the vehicle I came in....... I wish this game operated more like Ghost Recon Wildlands. Sure, it has story missions too, but the Unidad doesnt come kidnap me into a story mission. If I want to spend my time collecting resources or looking for weapon cases? I can do that. I love Montana, log cabins, float planes, etc. But I dont like the cult theme. And I especially hate zombies! Id much prefer a down to earth enemy. Plenty of bad guys to choose from....Commies, drug dealers, separatists, etc.
I have loved far cry. I don't play a lot of games but I've been addicted to the far crys. For some reason I've just not been taken with far cry 5? I find I'm disinterested in the stories and just have no investment in the characters.
Funny because I mostly disagree with what's said in this video. Yes the open world is big, well done and never boring, but it's way less exotic than the other Far Cry games. The random events are so repetitive imo, the story is so poorly told (only a few cinematics, which I really didn't care that much about... like I feel the story doesn't matter at all before the end that's great... Far Cry 3 story was amazing) and yeah there's no mini map but that forces you to pause the game every 3 minutes to check the big map.....
Still a good game, really fun to play but one of the worst Far Cry imo.
Btw where are the "secrets" of the title ??
You know why i didnt like the game though, I loved it for the first few hours but i got sick of, move down the road, combat, win, move, combat, win, mission start, complete mission, move, combat, move, combat.
There was way to many random encounters which led to it not feeling random but, there isnt actually that much to do in the game if you get to each location without a stoppage so we will throw you into a fire fight that you are guaranteed to win every 10 metres
I love the new formula of Far Cry 5, though, just because of the history, I have to say that FC 4 is my favorite one so far... I absolutely love fc5, but, while I do plan on getting 100% completion and all trophies, and I might play it again, in my personal opinion, fc5 doesn't quite have the same replayability as fc4...
I love FC5's story, personally. I just wish it took a lot longer to reach the end, that it didn't force you into the final confrontations with the Seed brothers, or that the cultists didn't disappear from a region just because the Seed brother was killed. I want to spend more time running around killing cultists, hunting and fishing. As it is, I'm already into my third play-through.
Oh good. What a thoroughly useless video that revealed NONE of the secrets alluded to in the title of the video. Quit with the pretentious, self-congratulatory soliloquy and focus on making an instructive, informative video.
Bought this game a day before the realese and then played it when it came out i mean like i sat infront my screen for 5 hours waiting for the game and skipped school next day to play, thats a good game
I Have the game and farcry 4 as wall, they could have made far cry 5 number one, game ,but far cry 4 ,for me ,is a bit better, all round game.far cry 5 is better in the story, but the weapons are weaker, and other little things, you can tell they fall short, where in Far cry 4 they did better.
Theres one thing that is so BAD you cant ignore: enemies, after finnishing the game theres nothing to fight with, just the annimals, but they're no challenge, fc 4 had enemies spawned in anytime so there was always something to do, but here... I cant even use my guns from live events and I dont want to replay the game over and over again just to have something to do. Like who agrees.
Great video mate! Love this game! One little problem though that I think a lot of people are asking, where are the season pass DLC? I have the gold edition, I’ve entered the codes but no zombie mode, etc or the farcry 3 classic edition?
Having a blast running around. The story? Well. It's not all that good or engaging. Being hunted has become ok lets get this over. It doesn't feel connected. You just randomly get picked up, do a mini mission and then dropped back into the map. The AI is absolutely stupid. Set the game to hard and turn off all tags and do not use anything that will highlight them for you. They pretty much run right at you even in groups. Weapons are good but padded. It looks like there are a lot but for the most part there are way to many same stat "special" versions which are pretty much just pre skinned versions. Companions are HILARIOUS. Adelaide had me rolling. It looks amazing and I am still having fun with all the side missions. I doubt I will remember the story like I do for 3 and 4 but I will remember the map and companions.
i am so addicted to this game that the grass needs mowed, the dishes need put away, the laundry needs done, the wife wants a night out,... oh to just go hiking to a lost lake and fish in my own private Montana...in Far Cry 5.
I gave a fair listen to what you had to say. I disagree on a few things.
1 I've played this game before fc 3 blood fc4 primal and fc5. Same crap different game.
2 The new ui is nice and maps decent. *see fc4 for en example of BAD maps and ui*
3. Kidnapping and a cult leader letting you go via a drug rage induced quicktime event *who even likes fucking qt events and timers anyways?*
4. Blah blah blah.. At least the bloody eagles from fc4 have faded into the distance.
I miss the good old days of a nice linear story driven narrative like fc 1 and bits of 3 not this endless being attacked every 2-5 minutes walking peacefully down a road. Having random animals attack you for no reason which 1 isn't natural nor is it practical since you have to slaughter animals to even protect yourself before the rednecks find you in the same 3 trucks at every checkpoint in the map.. How many of these fuckers do i have to kill to thin the bloody herd anyways? I musta killed 2-500 rednecks and countless animals to walk around 1 area of the map and got kidnapped 3 times and deleted the damned game at that point.
This really isn't a very good game it's pretty but the ai is broken I killed the same npc in the opening scene 5 times with a pipe to noggin kill and he respawned every single time in the same place walked the same route and died the same way and still never stopped coming. Also the body dissapeared so no loot.. You call this good game design?
I'm going to beg to differ with your opinion, i find this nothing more then fc3/blood/4/primal with a slightly cleaned up UI and garbage mechanics.
Sorry thumbs down for this game.
I really enjoyed FC5, but found the game didn't really come into it's own until I went north and began that region. The story and how it plays out there was more "real" and felt more akin to what I'd expect from a FC villain, with things happening that actually made me pause and go "holy crap".. the previous regions did little for me in terms of making the characters feel like a force to be reckoned with. All in all, I do agree with you on the world feeling great and organic and Ubi managed to make it enjoyable to just explore.
i saw the title Deep Dive and thought this game had an ability to put on a diving suit and scuba.. i havnt played it yet. but its coming free with the new pc tower i just built.. i cant wait to play it.
If it’s you just got the game do yourself a favor and play solo until you have finished the game. If you play with other people who have been playing for awhile they will just run through all your shit and ruin the experience for you.. trust me it’s rare to find a good partner to play the game with
This game sucks. It has a major glitches fuel truck mission where the fuel trucks do not spawn and it keeps you from being able to progress the story. I returned the game after being stuck on this for a week and feeling like I wanted to kill myself. I was not the only one. Thousands of people have had problems with this ONE stupid mission and returned the game.
The biggest problem with the way the story missions are forced upon you:
You are a an absolute annihilator, killing 100s or 1000s of Josephs followers, claiming his territories, destroying forts and landmarks, killing his leutnants etc...
Yet here come some 3 grunts and capture you no problem. And. Not. Kill. You.
More. Than. 10. Times. During. The. Game.
M O R E T H E N 1 0 T I M E S T H A T C R A P.
"Hey guys, we captured him"
"We used bliss bullets, the 16'395 guys that he killed used normal bullets"
"Okay, so after he escapes we will use normal bullets against him again."
Am I the only one wondering that after two and a half minutes in to "The Secrets Of Far Cry 5's Open World" no secrets where shown but a narration of ubisofts new open world design? That would at least be 2 sins in CinemaSins, if this was a movie.
you better chekout video about things taht farcry 2 is better in.
In FC5 enemys are as clever as potatos,
everything is made of plastic. Burned things are just black without any dmg and more and more. Game is fun but world is so still and notliving
I love the game but the outposts are too small and there aren't enough large scale gunfights and aerial combat for me to really enjoy using the helicoptors and planes. They need some ghost recon WL size bases and battles.
I actually love the plot a great deal. I almost didn’t give the video a like for the beginning but the rest of the video was wonderful so I gave you one anyway. Haha! You have to think about the storyline and it will make more sense and once you figure it out, you’ll love the plot as well! :)
