Assassin's Creed Odyssey: The Sacred Land Of Artemis | Let’s Play Presents | Ubisoft [NA]
I wonder; they write the story and dialog around aspects of gameplay don't they? For instance the supply mission. Once a particular mission is thought of than they write the dialog to lead the player into those missions. The main protagonist delivers the line about guards with weapons in their hands and food in their bellies. I have an inkling that the supply mission came before the script.
I feel this type of planning is what lends to shoddy dialog. This one in particular was just fine though.
This is full rpg. Assassins creed character should have specific personality. In this game we basically shape the character personality and even choose the gender. Im not saying the game is bad it just feel different from the previous.
Super excited for this game and watching it, I'm already breaking down a lot of the realism.
I can see that the characters are more animated and have a lot of hand gestures when they talk, which is very different to the more stoic characters in Origins. I'm Greek and I can tell you that Greek people are very animated and talk a lot with their hands. This is just one of the many little nuances that Assassin's Creed does well to serve the realism of their games.
Ac origins biggest failure was that after a few cities and 15 hours... You've experienced and have already gotten kind of bored of what the game has to offer. Lack of enemy variety and other things to keep the gameplay and progression rewarding and varied is what killed it for me fast. Awesome game but those couple flaws had a HUGE impact on the overall experience. This game doesn't seem to be doing enough to address that. Hopefully the combat offers more rewarding progression especially with the skills. I like the idea with Leonidas spear, just hope there's enough interesting active skills to unlock to keep things rewarding and fresh.
The more I watch, the more I see that the similarities do bother me a bit. Origins still feels pretty fresh to me, and this is as if the whole game just got a new skin with minor additions here and there. I wish they'd come forward in time rather than farther and farther back. Idk, we'll see how it goes when October comes.
Sirs of ubisoft, well if I'm lucky someone from ubisoft reads it; although I think not. What is the logic of an Assassin's Creed? Simple a simple formula, but it has to do endless sagas in which, I can be dead from 30 years and still can take Assassin's Creed, but that simple formula, taint it to be according to the real market that nobody is demanding and will not even demand it; because in this game "Odyssey" it does not make sense that it is. Assassin's Creed the center of the game is simple and simple, travel to the past, to get something from the present in which both have sub-frames that go to a great plot and that's it. Now what they have done is CHOOSE CHARACTER (that is, if someone looks at my life history to know something about a character can be a woman or a man), that it changes the end of a story from the past jajajja (It does not make any sense to go to the past), I can understand and accept that the animus improved in Black Flag and it is not necessary to be a direct descendant, I said ok is understandable and a good start for the saga, but not only change from the past; but characters is already a meaningless smoker and the name Odyssey makes sense; because they are killing a saga that you said it would not be annual, but I say it can be, but with origins they did not show anything of the past that happened with the end so good of syndicate in the plot of the present, maybe buy a comic to know . This was born as a videogame and should die as a videogame if they take out comics that are stories added to the videogame and not finished frames. Seriously nobody asks to have elements of dragon age (which for dragon age if you understand that it has) as different endings and characters, I do not know who your creatives are, but it would not be enough if they play again the first one or at least take out another videogame with another name, I do not doubt that this video game will be very good, but this is not an Assassin's Creed, not because of the hoods or hidden sheet; but for the gameplay and break the logic of the game very badly
All I want from this game (and all I wanted from origins) is just making 'TARGET IN PROXIMITY, FLY YO FUCKIN' BIRD' prompts optional, so much talk about 'play the way you want to play' but if you choose to do things without your hand being held by god bird powers half your damn screen is taken up by that message. In this video the vague 'hideout is in a cave, or at a temple' message is a great step towards not holding your hand, but the message still sort of ruins the fun of looking for those landmarks because the prompt gives it away.
You are playing history in the assassin's creed timeline i find choosing what to say feels wired and I'm not sure how the playable girl character fit in to canon are you playing the same story or does she have her own story
My one critique on orgins was there werent enough big outpost so hopefully they see this message and add them or add them anyway also another critique was that it was to quick and easy to kill the target hopefully they span killing the target over missions and maybe if the target is startled or your presence is known maybe the target should get away
Otto Bergmann (Helenelundsskolan) 1)It is not assassins creed at all
2)Combat system looks like it is from Ac origins
3)That combat system looks boaring and there are many games with good combat system
4)In 4k game looks good but it sucks in normal gameplay.
Clearly Jack didn't get to choose between Aleksios or Kassandra. Because he wouldn't turn down an opportunity to play as a girl. Although I will also play as Kassandra as a dude, she just looks more interesting to me.
Otto Bergmann (Helenelundsskolan) i mean i miss the og ac stealth style. With the old school eagle vision.I didnt like origins 2 much tbh.I just think it hasnt got much of an AC game left.I just dont like the rpg style it had become
What? You can stealth however much you want if not more considering how improved it is compared to the old games. Also I did not remember people complaining about brotherhood looking too much like ac2. I do not understand what you were expecting considering how good origins was.
The pseudo-greek accent and the general ignorance of history make this game sound like a bad joke.
Let's play the Very Special Edition of Skyrim instead.
BTW: this video is not a lets play, but a fully scripted act by ubisoft.
I have to confess, that I was super hyped for this game. But now when I see it I'm straight out disappointed. Is this game a straight copy of Origins with a little difrerent storytelling and a new map? Even the HUD looks exactly the same ^^
Aidan Henriksen That's definitely Jack Patillo from achievement hunter. He is a huge fan of the series. He did a video just like this last year also with Jeremy Dooley, maybe he is overexagerating but it looks like this is fun.
I'm so confused, is this supposed to be a Greek setting or a Roman setting. The main character has a mix of Roman and Greek armor, then has a Greek helmet. If they're gonna go for historical accuracy, they already fucked it up.
