Star Fox 's in a weird place right now. Looks like Nintendo wants the franchise to stay relevant, hence this crossover with Starlink and the release of Star Fox 2, AND there is this rumored Retro Studios game... But then again, they somewhat blew the series' big comeback with Star Fox Zero (I personally liked it), which makes it uncertain whether or not they're actually ever going to try with a new main game anytime soon (unless that Retro Studios game actually counts as a main game).
it mike west voice of fox he voice fox in starfox 64 starfox 64 3ds super smash bros wii u starfox zero but Mike west did not voice fox in starfox adventure star fox assault super smash bros super smash bros melee and super smash bros brawl.
Good on you, Star Fox team! I'll definitely buy this game. Let's rock & roll!
Now if we can see them team up with Samus in a Metroid/Star Fox collaboration game where they all do space combat & planet exploration, that would be interesting.
I heard they were kicking around that idea last year or so.
Looking forward to Metroid Prime 4 too.
Man, first BGE2, Metal Wolf Chaos XD, Fallout 76, now Starlink with a star fox add-on. shoot, now i gotta add a nintendo switch to my list too. My wallet is gonna eat itself if i keep throwing more money at these upcoming games XD
What's with Nintendo lending all their IP to Ubisoft all of a sudden? Is it like a "Thanks for supporting the Wii U" goodwill gesture, or is the idea that Nintendo fans are so insular and scared of leaving their comfort zone that the only way they'll buy a third-party game is if there's a Nintendo character in it?
Whatever the reason, I like these collaborations between the 2. Hopefully it'll also inspire Ubisoft to bring their other games to the Switch. Would be a good deal for/by Nintendo: 'you get Fox, we get [insert triple A game name]'.
Personally I'd love to see Assassins Creed and/or Splinter Cell on the Switch, no matter what quality or fps. (Even a 8bit version would do).
I don't know what this game is but I'm automatically hyped AF. Kudos to Ubi for the nods to the original game which is my favourite in the series. I hope this doesn't go the way of the dumpster fire that is Zero.
Yes, you can. Once the Arwing is unlocked, it stays unlocked. It can also be unlocked through normal gameplay, along with everything else. Pilots, weapons, ships, you name it, none of it is locked behind a toy wall.
tbh i kinda despise this.
im not happy with what nintendo is doing to their franchises.
and they are featuring a 'special guest pilot fox mccloud' ?
the star link team should be the special guest pilots!
i havent heard of star link but isnt it SOMEWHAT similar to star fox??
almost the same names, battleships in space, sounds very similar to me.
(yes i know i should look into things before i babble abt them, but im just using evidence from this video)
unless i get to play as one of the star fox team from start to end, i dont feel like wasting my money on it.
yeah its a bit harsh but star fox hasnt been seen in 2-3 years (counting the japan release). i dont want a collaboration, i want a full on star fox game.
What's the deal with taking the Switch on the go? Would I need to take the toys with me, or will they be a "catalogue" in the system, where I can register all the toys and then swap them in-game? I really don't want to take the toys with me. Is the game playable if I don't want the toys?
No, you won't need to. The toys just help you unlock stuff faster. Once they're unlocked, they stay unlocked. You can also unlock everything through normal gameplay if you want. None of it is locked behind a wall.
