I Adopted Rich People’s Habits, See How My Life Changed

155709 ratings | 4857111 views
Learn the secrets of success from those who built their own empires from scratch. You can try adopting the habits of super rich people and see how it will help you save money. Successful people are rarely night owls; they go to bed and wake up quite early. So this was the first habit I decided to take on. By the end of the first week, I noticed that I was able to do way more before noon than I could ever do during the whole day. One more week into the experiment I started waking up completely well-rested and excited to start a new day. Self-made successes swear by exercising every day for at least 30 minutes. After just 10 days, it already became a habit. I became more concentrated and calmer. If meditating helps successful people stay on top of their game, it should help me out too. Networking is like currency for successful people. A lot of successful people (like Steve Jobs, for instance) keep a super minimalistic approach to fashion, often wearing the same outfit every day. Truly smart and successful people control their expenses and don’t spend their money on useless things. Music: Operatic - Vibe Mountain https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music TIMESTAMPS Go to bed and wake up quite early 0:34 Exercise every day for at least 30 minutes 1:51 Meditate 3:01 Set goals and achieve them 3:57 Meet new people as much as you can 4:44 Read more useful books 5:34 Wear simple clothes 6:24 Be thrifty 7:10 Conclusion 8:08 SUMMARY -With will power of steel, I decided to wake up at the same time every day and come to work an hour early. It took me 3 days to get the schedule right. -The hardest part here wasn't even the gym itself, it was exercising after working all day. After just 10 days, it already became a habit. I started sleeping better and waking up easier. -Meditation turned out to be a really good way to get my head straight and renew my energy. -Even though I didn’t manage to tackle all my tasks, I was able to do more things in the first week than I did during the entire previous month. -I learned to find common ground with people from the get-go, met a lot of extraordinary individuals, and made some really good friends. -I carried a book with me at all times and read it on the way to work and back home or during lunch. As a result, by the end of the first month, I had finished my fourth book. -I no longer had to waste time every day choosing my outfit, deciding whether or not it matched or if it was trendy and whatnot. -I started out by making a list of everything that I bought every day so that I could see what I spent my money on. This system helped me save 40% of my salary in the first month and almost 60% in the second. -New habits really did completely change my life for the better. I actually go to bed around 830PM and get up at 4AM every day. I fell off going to the gym every day in 2011 after 18 years of doing it. Man, that was a bad idea. :) Working to fix that still. I did earn my MBA out of the deal though. Anyway, some great insight and new ideas. Thanks for the effort!

Almost everything in this video is really doable if someone really wants to change. Not everyone has to follow what's given here. They can take out time for the fun activities by modifying it a bit. Overall good tips 👍

All these things are true I have read them in many places it seem's as they just compiled all of them and paid someone to animate a character and preach something they might not have done themselves. Luckily all of these things seem to be correct and can only help you become a better person I just doubt the person who put the video together did them at all

why must not spend money on things that you want to buy even if they are useless. there is no point in saving money if you earn enough since u dont take your visa card to your funereal

I'd love to wake up early, exercise regularly, I do read a lot but i'd also like to read better than I do and lastly save a lot of money to pursue other ventures that will increase income streams.

I adopted the habit of having a rich father who gave me a million dollars and put me through private school and an Ivy League education because of his wealth and connections. Then I adopted the habit of believing that I made it all by myself and developed a loathing for the poor. I joined the Republican party and started a youtube channel of me pissing on homeless people. Now I'm a multi-millionaire!

I clicked believing that it would be someone who really did the experiment it saw the animated professional looking man talking throughout the video. It is just hard to hear that everything worked when he’s not even existed to do the tasks or commented about pros and cons of the habits. It’s a bit boring when they only talk about the “bright side” live up to their name. I think vdos gets more interesting with something like sarcasm.
* Go to bed early: I have 3 kids, each evening I am exhausted, check. * Meditate: I have 3 kids, I pray for some good night sleep, check * Do exersises: I have 3 kids climbing all over me and trying to fight me, check * Wake up early: I have 3 kids, I wake up at 01:00, 04:00 & 06:00, check. * Read more books: I have 3 kids, I tell bedtime stories 3x from a book, check * Meet new people: I have 3 kids, I meet new parents and kids each day who come over to play at our house, check. * I must get so successful soon!!! Thanks for the enlightenment! I guess successful people have nannies😎😁( I do feel happy by the way, so in a way it's all true)

Like the idea of how to network with quality people . Certainly it helps to stop wastage of time ,since quality people themselves are also quite cautious with their time .

Not all of our friends are "useful" or "toxic". If you only want friends to be useful to you and not also people you are useful to, that is a significant problem, because successful people will be unlikely to tolerate friends who are shallow, self absorbed, and have no sense of balance or mutuality. I avoid "users", and expect good friends to attempt some level of "give and take"

Three weeks ago I (35y) started running every day for ca 30 minutes - it changed everything. And the first step is the most important: to start at all. Don´t worry about the 20% you don´t accomplish; if you start and achieve SOMETHING, that´s more than when you don´t start at all. Good luck!

Habits of rich people.. First get born into a rich family.... Second, have dad send you to really swell schools.. Third, select a really good tax lawyer...Fourth ask dad to leave you all his dough after he kicks... Fifth, have dad draw up a will leaving you not only his entire fortune, but the family business as well... Sixth, before dad dies convince him that your brother and sister should not get a dime of inheritance because they are inferior beings.....

Great video but I think it would be much more impactful if they changed the title to "I Adopted SUCCESSFUL people's habits..." There is, after all a difference between those individuals who are simply rich and those who are rich because they are successful. There is no guarantee that those habits will 'make anyone rich' but all of those habits would 'enrich someone's life'.

I’m a firm believer in the miracle morning and have watched many videos on YouTube to see how they better convey the concept. However all of them seem to fail on the emphasis of how one habit naturally helps you create other healthy habits. I think that’s a very strong point to make for those starting out otherwise it can be overwhelming. Focus on starting just one! I know we tend to view vicious cycles in a negative light but this is a prime example that they can be positive too. These habits create a snowball effect, beneficially. Well done video! However I still enjoyed expressing myself through fashion but the minimalist approach plays an important factor in reserving as much time and energy for more important tasks but can be implemented in other ways aside from what you wear. For example: This is why military members have such a hard time transitioning back into society. They become accustomed to not sweating the minor lifestyle decisions that are taken care of for them when their on missions. Also like the CEO that couldn’t ever remember to pick up his paycheck he obviously is on another level of thinking to remember such small busy work tasks. 👌🏼 We’ve all seen those articles where it claims the psychology messy people might prove they are smart because they reserve energy for what’s important. 🤷🏽‍♀️ they could just as easily be lazy but the point is it’s never what it seems and can be dug into deeper. Everyone is different so do what works for you. Whats worked for me in order to maintain any small insignificant tasks that requires my personal touch I tackle by consistent planning and preparation in advance! I probably would be less likely to maintain the task if I couldn’t plan it a month or week out.

The biggest mistakes that I saw that the rich make who have children are: (1) They make fun of people who either are poor or have considerably less than what they have. This gives their children the feeling that they are of a higher quality. This feeling nullifies the ability of dealing with most other people in adulthood. (2) They let strangers raise their children. This is highly dangerous. Strangers do not care about other people's children. (3) They give little next to no concern of using their wealth to educate their children. If it were to be started at age 3, they could guarantee their children's future, but they don't do it.

Interesting. How many hours did you say you work a week? How many works do you have? How much time daily do you waste commuting? Less than two hours? 6 am is earlier for you? for me is later. Did you mention that if you wake up earlier, you must go to bed earlier too? Are you kidding me?

the only useful habits zuckerberg has to offer are a) get lucky enough to be surrounded by geniuses constantly until you're rich enough to attract geniuses to you constantly, and b) steal everything you can get your dirty little hands on from said geniuses, and make billions while only losing millions in lawsuits. <<<100% facts.

Actually becoming or being rich dont have any in common with sport relaxation or meditation,it is utter bull ,the 2nd part is simple economics not big of a deal. As the matter of fact there is one single truth related to rich people that one being cheap and buying or investing only what os necesary. In final rich people habits ar very opposite to normal people ,from the way they are thinking ,the way they are programed in childhood can give a preety good example. Rich people invest in image, cars ,companies, services, etc etc.
