Hearing the ghostly voices at 0:08 is actually a very powerful thing. If you ever visit a WW1 battle site, just imagine the shouting, the orders being yelled. The screaming and sounds of gunfire and artillery and thank god you were not there 100 years ago.

This is the game that blew me away. Battlefield 1 is about World War 1, for many people as today playing for fun with there friends online that what I see. But to me Battlefield 1 when I played that show that true horror of the the First World War that these soldiers went to Through hell to fight “The War to end all Wars” but ending nothing. As today there Wars still going on but stupid ones. For me I’m seeing today that I’m truly grateful for everything that I have a house, great friends, a family, and everything I had. even know I’m going through some stuff and personal problems but I don’t have bad. Playing this game show me that these soldiers in the First World War die for nothing and it’s sad as a 100 years go by everything changes and nobody remember them. But I will remember them for the Sacrifice not just the good side the both sides fighting each other in the mud, the trenches, the air, the desert, and by sea. I love history is my favorite subject and these is my kind of history. We should all give thanks for what we have and please always remember this soldiers that died in the World War 1. We will remember them and thank you. “The guns will rust, the grass will grow, but they won’t be nothing left of any of this”

Yeah, a hundred years later, barely anybody remembers them. Everyone’s on their phones looking at the latest trends, latest phone, lastest petty things. Why Do I Seemingly love history so much? It’s it the tragedy or is it the adventure? For Generals, it’s just a game. For civilians, it’s a horror movie. For soldiers that fought, it was hell. Nobody understood. It’s sad going to school, people don’t care about those who struggled. It’s sad that they died not knowing who won. It’s a shame, because it was the war to end all wars. But to me, it was a universal lesson. Humans change only when they know and learned. Humans tend to repeat the same stupid mistakes, because they don’t know the struggle. But we could all learn something, that we could change for the better.

Absolutely beautiful way to end a game. The emotion in the story was amazing and this ending cinematic brought me to tears. I have so much respect for EA and Dice for making this game with so much sentiment and emotion. You can tell how much they care about this game and the fact that they used it to do something like this is so cool.

PUTIN'S NEIGHBOR No, all started because the French and British declared war on Germany and wanted to bring them down to ruins again like they did with the Treaty of Versailles. Hitler invaded Poland with Russia, and only took over land that use to be German land filled with German people that were being oppressed by the Polish government. Hitler’s secret plan next was to invade Russia, take down Stalin, and end communism which he saw as a threat long before America or the British, due to after WW1 many communists from The Soviet Union funded by Soviet Bolshevik government coming to Germany to turn it into a Communist state. The German Revolution or November Revolution occurred due to this. That’s why Hitler wanted to end communism. Hitler saw the affects and oppression of the Treaty of Versailles, and how communism wanted to take advantage of their oppression to turn them into a communism state controlled by the Bolsheviks. Germany admired the British, and many times tried to stop and prevent the war with the British and French by peace pleas. This pushed back Germany’s invasion of the Soviet Union from 1939 to 1941. Also by the way, France invaded Germany with Operation Saar, not the other way around how your taught to believe without much research or proof. Hitler didn’t want war with Western Europe, nor did he want to take over the world. Hitler just wanted to end the oppressive treaty of Versailles in which his people were suffering from in the 1920s, and end Soviet Bolshevik communism which he knew could spark up again and try to turn Germany Communist. Hitler could’ve prevented 100 million people dying from communism and its influence. The French and British just had to mess everything up. Hitler’s story, Germany’s story, and everything needs to be taught correctly. In these days, it’s just, Hitler hated Jews and wanted to conquer the world, so he started war with all of Europe by invading all of Europe first, which is false.
PUTIN'S NEIGHBOR (1 year ago)
Kyle Cho All started because of Adolf Hitler. A man that he himself fought to end all wars. Had he not been spared ww2 wouldn't have happened. Makes you wonder, what if worser things could have happened from a different man if he would have survived ww1.

I had members of my family fight in the war, for both The Allied and Central Powers. In a way, with this game and the stories it tells, I now understand what they went through a little more. All 38 of them went into the war on the day it started. Almost all of them lived up until late 1917. None of them lived to see the end of the war, unfortunately, but I'm sure they had many stories they wanted to tell that will never be known.

One day all this will be over. The war to end all wars will be won by one side or the other. The guns will rust. Grass will grow and they'll be nothing left of any of this. The land will heal itself, as everything does in the end. We'll be long gone by then but maybe not forgotten. History only remembers one in a thousand of us then the future will be filled with stories of who we were and what we did. How we lived, how we fought, how we died. When this is all over and the war is won they will remember us. But until that day comes, we will stand, we will look death in the eye and we will fight!

I bet 2/3 of you guys don't even know the german solder ho was trying to write a adventure book in the trenches to don't lose him self to the insanity of the trench warfare in one of the missions.

Even though it was short, the campaign was great. So damn intense. My favorites was Clyde, Lawrence, Bishop and the Mud and Blood one. The Clyde Blackburn story was top 1 favorite, was loving it all. Destroying the train in Lawrence's story was quite intense, took some time and lots running around to destroy it. Got targeted every time I tried using the cannons :P

Imagine more than millions of stories like the campaign missions and the deaths that happened during world war 1. Imagining that made me shed tears
RenegadeRouser (1 year ago)
At the beginning the game successfully showed the futility of war. I really, really like how EA did it, but in the end the producers just changed their opinion, showed this clip and gave the game a yeah-let's-go-kill-some-more-people-mood, like in all the shooters before. The whole mission with the Italians ruined the atmosphere for me, btw. Atleast BF 1 was a huge step in the right direction. And the soundtrack is awesome, still listening to it. I'll keep waiting for a shooter, that only shows the cruelty of war by adding some of those heroic and sad moments, like the Gallipoli-story, dramatic and speechless moments, like in Edwards story and those cutscenes that hit you right in the feels, like in the beginning of the "We push"-prologue: Two soldiers from different sides stare and aim at eachother realising that all what they were doing was completely pointless.
Clark Pelkey (7 days ago)

Random Human The Tsar government messed up so much, not only did they make the war worst by backing up Serbia. When Germany was steam rolling them and crippling them, this opened an opportunity for the Bolsheviks to launch a revolution with victory, and begin communism, which later would kill almost 100 million people with its influence. The Czar government was heavily stupid.

THIS was a perfect ending. This was the best ending I've seen in a 2016 video game. This is the only piece of advice that keeps into not giving up on life when serving in a war. And then Infinite Warfare's attempt at an ending was death letters from characters you only see in one or two missions. Pathetic.

Jack Jordan (1 year ago)
MoodY GhannaM the French fought along side the allies in the first world war, at the battle of the Marne hundreds of thousands of French young men died protecting their homeland. They suffered through shelling and chemical gas and mortar fire, the landscape of Marne was almost unrecognizable after the battle and you can still see the effects that battle had to this day if you go there. The point I am trying to make is, the French who fought in that battle, and even the Germans, we're some of the bravest people to have ever lived, bar no one. And to be honest I am damn proud to be the same species as them. Its become a meme to say that the French are cowardly, and run from conflict, but arguably you can't blame them for giving in so easily in world war 2 as they saw the horrors of war first hand, and paid the highest life cost in Europe.
